English: One stressful morning I was working on the computer, listening to the radio tuned to “Icelandic” and this band suddenly came out. It was the most pleasant thing I had heard in a while. It just made my day. Just recently I got the album and I can’t stop listening to it, mostly when I’m drunk, going to sleep, makes me have nice dreams :B no wonder why it is called Sleepdrunk Seasons huh. I like how the songs are structured, and I like its unusual sounds emitted by instruments not common in a “rock” band. It has this cinematic musicality I like. Lotsa feeling. I’m already dreaming about meeting them in their habitat… Iceland that is.

Wikipedia says: The Live Mix, Part 2 is an album by Breakestra, an American hip hop band. The album is a combination of breaks and funk covers performed with real instruments, and featuring the vocals of band member Mixmaster Wolf.

Would you agree?

This album is kind of a compilation from all MF DOOM’s projects. A “Web Bootleg Release”. It has songs from Viktor Vaughn and other aliases. I’ve been listening to this album for years too. It is indeed the dopest, featuring the best MC’s like Vast Aire, Kool Keith, Aesop Rock and De La Soul.

Another classic for me. I keep listening to this band and it just never get old. They’ve just released a new album this year called MANDALA. I’m still digesting it. Later I’ll upload 2 more albums by them. Old ones. Classic ones.

Some Bio by Last.fm:
Rx Bandits is a four-member band based in Seal Beach, California. Their musical style is an eclectic mix of progressive rock, ska, alternative, and reggae deemed groove tech by the band.

The band started out amid other popular southern California ska-influenced acts such as Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Of the original line-up, only singer/songwriter Matt Embree and drummer Chris Tsagakis remain. Their first two releases were recorded with bassist James Salomone and trombonist Rich Balling. Upon signing to Drive-Thru Records, the band released the album Halfway Between Here and There, a straightforward third-wave ska effort, though lyrics in songs such as “Gun In Your Hand” hinted towards the political leanings which would be evident in their subsequent releases.

They are notable for their strong political views, which they share with fans through periodic website posts. Read full bio.

This is the first album I post, and pretty sure one I will listen through the day I die.

I’ve been following this band since 2005, helping me through my saddest moments haha. Hope they help you as well.I saw these guys in Pomona a couple of years ago, and they are simply the most down to earth awesome musicians I’ve ever met. Wanna see the pictures of me hanging out with them? huh? do ya? I might post ‘em later…

Under Byen are a Danish band founded in 1995 mainly by Katrine Stochholm and Henriette Sennenvaldt.

Under Byen (Danish for “Below the City”) are known for producing their own unorthodox interpretation of rock (but it could also be indie, folktronic, trip-hop, post rock or… something else). They rarely use guitars. Instead their soundscape is dominated by piano, cello, violin, electrically-distorted saw, organ, drums and percussion. A somewhat different vein of post-rock, infused with jazzy, folky and classical elements. An important part of the music is also the voice of Henriette Sennenvaldt, whose poetic Danish lyrics add a further mysterious allure to the mix… read more
