Español: Por lo general sólo tengo ojos para los clásicos ochentero-noventeros de los estudios Ghibli. Sólo como 3 animaciones japonesas contemporáneas me gustan y MIND GAME es una de ellas. Esta premiada película fue lanzada en el 2004 por el director Masaaki Yuasa, basada en un comic por Robin Nishi, un comic semi-autobiográfico… ya te imaginarás. La propuesta visual es bastante robusta así com la historia. Un viaje mental ciertamente.

English: Generally I only have eyes for the Studio Ghibli’s classics from the 80’s and the 90’s. I like only about 3 contemporary japanese animations, and MIND GAME is one of them. This award-winning movie was released in 2004 by director Masaaki Yuasa, based on a comic by Robin Nishi, which is supposed to be semi-autobiografic… go figure. The visuals, as the story, are very rich. A mind trip indeed.

Español: Creo que esta es mi película preferida de Woody Allen. La vi por primera vez como en el 98, y fue mi preferida desde ese momento al igual que Mira Sorvino. Ella es una especie de Peggy de los Muppets en carne y hueso. Ganó el oscar por esta película, que fue nominada al mejor guión. No explicaré de qué se trata para que la veas completamente neutral, sólo te diré que es una comedia escrita y dirigida por Woody Allen inspirada en la historia mitológica griega de Pygmalion.

English: I think this is my favorite Woody Allen Movie. I first saw it back in 98, and became a favorite ever since, as well as Mira Sorvino. She’s like a flesh and bone version of Miss Piggy from The Muppet Show. She won an oscar for this movie which was nominated for best screenplay. I won’t tell you much about the story, so you can watch it from zero. You know you can always google it, youtube it or imbd it.

This is not one of my favorite movies, nor a classic. It is rather a recent not-even-on-dvd-yet movie that I’ve wanted to see for a while now. Sundance Festival 2009 Official Selection huh. I just saw it. Its alright. Kinda cheesy. Cute indeed. I Love Zooey Deschanel. The soundtrack is nice. Anyway I just post this because a lot of you have been asking for it, and I don’t think it will ever get to Mexico cinemas, maybe not even on dvd.

If your city is playing this at your cinema, go see it, and buy the DVD when it comes out.

One of Spike Lee’s best movies, “Do The Right Thing”. I remember I was about 10 when I watched this film. I used to stare at the TV waiting for them to broadcast it so I could record it on my VCR… eventually I did haha. (for those you don’t know, Mookie is Spike Lee).
